CONEXANT
Conexant Systems, Inc. was a leading American-based fabless semiconductor company that specialized in developing technology for voice and audio processing, imaging, and modems. Established in 1996 as a division of Rockwell International, Conexant was spun off as a public company in 1999 and became the world's largest standalone communications-IC company. The company was known for its innovative semiconductor solutions, including the AudioSmart and ImagingSmart product lines, which enhanced the performance of image-dependent electronic equipment and digital video applications. Conexant played a significant role in the semiconductor industry, particularly in the digital home and broadband communications sectors, before being acquired by Synaptics Inc. in July 2017.
