Alpha Electronics is a Japanese electronics manufacturer founded in 1978 in Sumida-ku, Tokyo. The company has a rich history of innovation, having been involved in various significant technological developments, including a technical development project financially supported by a government agency in 1981, for which it received an award in 1988. Alpha Electronics has expanded its operations globally, establishing a US manufacturing operation in partnership with Wilbrecht Electronics, Inc. in South Dakota, and has also been recognized for its contributions to the electronic assembly industry, including being qualified as a space-level components supplier by NASA in 1995.
